Born to a family of performing artists in New York City, I have experienced music as an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember. My musical journey started at age 6 at the Special Music School where I studied piano, music theory and solfege in addition to academics.
Singing has always been my most natural form of expression. Throughout my formative years, I excelled in choirs and musical productions, often taking part in professional television and musical theater engagements.
While studying at the Carnegie Mellon School of Music, I had the chance to continue this musical growth with formal voice lessons and opportunities to sing lead roles in operas and musicals. Singing under the renowned choral conductor and educator, the late Dr. Robert Page, inspired the formation of my own vocal quintet, Ping. We enjoyed great success during our time at Carnegie Mellon, producing sold out concerts each semester, and beyond, working professionally with Chatham Baroque and as featured artists at summer festivals around the country. We specialized in bringing rarely performed works of the renaissance to new audiences, and building relationships with young composers, workshopping and and performing new works.
These experiences have been an incredible foundation for the work I do now. I pride myself on my vocal versatility and musicianship and am happiest when the work I do is diverse, challenging and collaborative.
